Candlelight Vigil to Honor Victims of COVID-19

On Jan. 19, SUNY Oneonta will join communities across the nation in remembering the victims of COVID-19 by lighting candles in their honor on campus.

We invite you to honor any loved ones or friends who have passed away from COVID-19 with a luminary in their memory. You can request a luminary by submitting the form linked below by noon on Jan. 18.

Because of COVID-19 safety precautions, the college will not hold an in-person ceremony or gathering. Photos of the vigil will be shared with the campus community.

The victims of COVID-19 were family members, friends and loved ones. They are so much more than a number, and they will not be forgotten.
