1. Is the Alumni Association still hosting Regional/Local Events?

  1. Not right now. In keeping with the suggested state and federal guidelines related toin-person gatherings, all events through the middle of May have been canceled. At the same time, we are discussing ways to stay connected with all of you in a virtual way so we can continue sharing our affinity for SUNY Oneonta.

2. Is Reunion Weekend 2020 still happening?

  1. Right now: yes. However, the SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association is closely monitoring the evolving spread of COVID-19 (the novel coronavirus) and its impact on the community. The health and wellness of our alumni are the highest priority for the Association. Therefore, the Office of Alumni Engagement staff will continue to evaluate Reunion Weekend. We will provide information on any and all cancellations and postponements via email, on our website, and through our social media channels.

3. Are alumni allowed to visit campus?

  1. Because of our concerns around COVID-19, and in order to ensure that our essential work can continue, alumni access is restricted. Some College facilities are open for small groups of students who have been permitted to remain on campus as well as to faculty and essential staff. Thank you for helping us adhere to this policy.

4. How can I help?

  1. We know many of our alumni are in contact with current students, parents, faculty, and staff, and we thank you for the support and encouragement you’ve shown in this difficult time. We have received numerous messages from alumni asking how to help students faced with challenging circumstances due to the change in operations at SUNY Oneonta. One option immediately available is to make a contribution to the College at Oneonta Foundation to provide support to students with emergency and/or exceptional needs. Gifts can be made here. Thank you very much.
