1. Is the Alumni Association still hosting Regional/Local Events?

  1. Not right now. In keeping with the suggested state and federal guidelines related toin-person gatherings, all events through the middle of May have been canceled. At the same time, we are discussing ways to stay connected with all of you in a virtual way so we can continue sharing our affinity for SUNY Oneonta.

  2. *Those that would like to host a virtual alumni gathering but may not have the means, our office can provide Zoom for you and your friends/club/sports team/ or Greek organization to get together during these times of social distancing. To request a meeting simply email alumni@oneonta.edu and let them know your name, class year and group.

2. Is Reunion Weekend 2020 still happening?

  1. We all have been eagerly anticipating Reunion Weekend 2020. This June weekend is a time for us connect with one another, enjoy our beautiful campus, and recognize milestone anniversaries.

Unfortunately, there are too many uncertainties surrounding our celebration right now because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. For the health and safety of our alumni and their families, we are canceling Reunion Weekend 2020.
We know many of you are disappointed. We are, too. Reunion Weekend has become a treasured event for so many of our alumni.

We hope everyone will join us June 11-13, 2021 to make 2021 Reunion Weekend the biggest and best in SUNY Oneonta’s history! Featured milestone celebrations will include all class years ending in 0 or 5 and 1 or 6.

To request a refund or to apply your payment to a future SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association event, please email the Office of Alumni Engagement (alumni@oneonta.edu). Please be sure to indicate which of these options you would like in the body of your email. For a full explanation of our event cancellation policy, please click here.

3. Are alumni allowed to visit campus?

  1. Because of our concerns around COVID-19, and in order to ensure that our essential work can continue, alumni access is restricted. Some College facilities are open for small groups of students who have been permitted to remain on campus as well as to faculty and essential staff. Thank you for helping us adhere to this policy.

4. How can I help?

  1. The entire SUNY Oneonta community is concerned about the welfare of our students during this uncertain time. Many alumni and friends have reached out to ask how they can help. You can support SUNY Oneonta students experiencing hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic by contributing to one of the funding priorities described below. Now, more than ever, we need the Oneonta community to unite in support of these initiatives. Currently, we are in need of additional funding to assist every student facing these unprecedented challenges. Your contribution will provide students with emergency financial support, help them overcome barriers to academic success, and keep them on track for graduation. Gifts can be made here. Thank you very much.
